If You Know You Know

Featuring the works of local artists If You Know You Know, brings together veteran and emerging graffiti writers from across Winnipeg.  Expressive and aggressive, their personalized style are at the core of their practices.  Using sharp lines, bold colours in spray paint and collage, each artist defines themselves through their chosen name and specific aesthetic. Whether it be NYC inspired burners, gestural tags, or clean and legible lettering, through graffiti these artists are able to enact their individuality as well as display their creativity. Their work is reflective of the urban environment from where their artform originates.  If You Know You Know transitions their work from the streets and train cars to the gallery walls. Graffiti Gallery is proud of our roots to the Winnipeg graffiti scene. Exhibiting these talented artists and giving the public an opportunity to see their artworks in a gallery setting, similar to our group show 24 years ago with the current graffiti scene.
