A Free Youth-Led Arts Studio & An Initiative of Winnipeg’s Graffiti Art Programming Inc.
What is Studio 393?
Located on the first floor of Portage Place Shopping Centre by the water fountain, Studio 393 is a free come-as-you-are drop-in studio space for youth aged 12-29. The program curriculum is shaped by participants, focusing primarily on music production and recording, DJing, dance, visual arts, creative writing and podcasting. In addition to a highly qualified staff of practicing artists, Studio 393 also receives local, national and international guests artists and professionals to facilitate workshops and mentor aspiring and emerging young artists. To further support our participants’ artistic pursuits, Studio 393 offers personal and professional development opportunities including mental-health workshops, food security workshops, employment training, resume writing and Job search training, volunteer opportunities and career management workshops. We aim to foster a peer-to-peer community of young people interested in the arts and to build networks between participants and established artists and arts organizations.

Community Youth Leadership Project
The Community Youth Leadership Project aims to build the personal and professional capacity of youth and emerging artists through skills training programs and hands-on job experience. CYLP offers youth a series of arts-based workshops, alongside life skills and mental health workshops designed to support them in the development of the tools they'll need to become independent community leaders. In the second phase of this project, youth will use what they've learned in the first phase to develop their own arts-based workshops that they will then deliver to children throughout downtown and North End neighbourhoods at our st.ART Project satellite studios.
The Community Youth Leadership Project is funded by Canada Service Corps, a national movement that empowers youth aged 15–30 to gain experience and build important skills while giving back to their community.
“It’s a positive and welcoming place to come, to interact and relate to people through music and art.”
