Book Your Next Workshop!

Graffiti Gallery offers a variety of workshops to organizations, schools and other groups in conjunction with our gallery exhibitions. Each workshop is unique to the current exhibition and is formed around the themes, mediums or concepts being explored in the show.

Join us onsite at our gallery to experience the artwork and create personal pieces alongside it. With these workshops, youth have the opportunity to showcase their work alongside the exhibition in a designated Kids Gallery. Through this platform, youth can explore new ideas, experiment with different materials, and share their experiences with a wider audience.

Select workshops are facilitated by the exhibiting artists, and serve to connect youth with knowledgeable mentors and creative communities.

Explore Hip Hop Dance and Graffiti Art at our location or yours.

GRAFFITI ART PROGRAMMING WORKSHOPS

A Warrior’s Red Road Workshop

In conjunction with our recent exhibition “A Warrior's Red Road” with the Akicita Cante Men's Group, this workshop allows participants to explore the exchange of knowledge through reflection, discussion, and art making. Participants will engage in a sharing circle to brainstorm important lessons they’ve learned from relatives, friends, elders, or even books and movies. After sharing, they will create artwork on paper cutouts to create a magnet, in relation to a lesson they have learned. They will then be encouraged to share this artwork with someone, such as another participant, a friend, a family member, or anyone who has had an impact on their life. Participants will be prompted to consider how these insights have inspired them, and how they can be passed on to others to create further connections — similar to the passing of knowledge through sacred drumming practices that the current exhibition is centered around.
