More Printing Resources
Graffiti Gallery’s At-Home Printing Series focuses on Relief and Monotype printing. Both are easy methods for first-timers and can open the door for a wide range of other printing methods.
While drawing directly onto your plate can work well for some projects, others might require a more precise method of transforming your idea into a print. Check out these methods of transferring your sketch or an image to your printing plate!
Registration in printing is the alignment of layers and inks in your print.
With a multi-layered print, each colour will be printed with a different plate. If we register each of these layers properly they will come together to create a seamless image. If not, colours will blend and overlap, images can look blurry, or there will be unwanted gaps in the print.
A well-registered print.
A misregistered print.
